On the agenda: 10 intensive days of mission in the Caribbean. A team of 27 people—including 6 children and teenagers—full of passion and expectancy. Two islands reached at the same time: Guadeloupe and Martinique. More than 7,000 km traveled from mainland France for one reason alone: Jesus! And, of course, for many divine appointments.
Guadeloupe is an island that holds a special place in our hearts. We have faithfully returned there for several years now. But this time, the mission was especially meaningful. For the very first time, we set foot in Martinique. It was also a milestone for us to send two teams simultaneously to two different islands.
Pointe à Pitre: The faith of the youngest put into action.
One of the greatest joys of this mission was seeing how God used the teenagers on the team in Guadeloupe.
Indeed Rachel (13 years old) had been praying for some time for the opportunity to lead someone into receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. On the last day in Pointe-à-Pitre, she met Rose in the street. As they began talking, Rose explained that she was a Christian but had been praying for years to receive the gift of speaking in tongues. Rachel immediately offered to pray for her. Then, after the prayer, Rose testified that she had received what she had been asking God for over so many years. It was a simple yet powerful encounter! God answered two prayers at the same time.

Trinité: When missing the bus is part of God’s plan
Moreover, divine appointments were numerous in Martinique. We were proclaiming the Gospel in Trinité, near a bus stop. And it was precisely there, at that exact moment, that a young couple found themselves in front of us. An unlikely delay and an unexpected bus route brought them directly where Jesus wanted them to be.
Christian shares the background of this encounter:
Indeed, the evening before, the young woman was tired. For two years, she had been trying to move forward. Each time, she received the same answer: no baptism for her husband without a long training process. For her, this was not biblical, so she kept seeking elsewhere. She cried out to God and came across the story of the Ethiopian eunuch and Philip. She shared it with her partner, they prayed together, and asked for God to intervene.
When they left an appointment on the day of the encounter, they missed their bus. The next one took them further from home to make a connection—but in doing so, it brought them closer to God. As they got off the bus, they heard our proclamation and one name echoed: Jesus. She then pulled her husband by the sleeve: “Come, let’s go see.” She immediately asked her crucial question. When she asked whether a long training was needed for baptism, Christian replied: “No, he can be baptized today, just like in the Scriptures.”
Immediately, everything changed. The husband’s heart was ready. The fruit was ripe. He accepted Jesus, prayed the prayer of salvation, and said: “Why wait?” That same afternoon, he was baptized. Both of them later received the Holy Spirit. What better place than Trinité for a divine appointment?

Even when it feels like God is not listening, He hears. I believe our encounter today is proof of that! Because the situation had been going on for too long, and it was yesterday that I cried out to God while reading the passage about Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch — the companion.
Anse du Four: a prayer answered by the water’s edge
The team arrived one afternoon at Anse du Four beach. The setting was beautiful, but the atmosphere was very quiet. Around us, there were mostly tourists and people who had come to rest. They were seeking silence, relaxation, and the sound of the waves.
Honestly, a sense of discomfort set in. No one on the team really felt like preaching in this place. Even while convinced of the value of our message, we were afraid of disturbing them. We didn’t want to break their moment of peace. So doubt crept in, and the situation felt stuck.
Nevertheless, obedience won out. Someone finally took the initiative to break the silence and began to share the Gospel.
It was at that very moment that God revealed His plan. He had already prepared a heart on that beach. A woman listened, captivated. Her name was Cynthia, and her trip to Martinique had been decided at the very last minute—almost by chance.
Cynthia was carrying deep inner struggles and felt unable to move forward. Upon arriving on the island, she prayed and asked Jesus to place someone in her path—someone to help her be freed from all that was weighing her down.
After the preaching, a member of the team approached and spoke with her. The pieces of the puzzle came together. Cynthia realized this was the direct answer to her prayer. Deeply moved, she made her decision: she chose to receive the message and gave her life to Jesus.
Immediately afterward, she expressed her desire to be baptized. There, on the beach, she decided to lay down her burdens and was baptized in the water. What joy to see her leave transformed, filled with a new freedom, and with a burning desire: to open her Bible and finally begin to read the Gospel in fullness.

Place de la victoire: a divine connection.
Pastor Rostant shared a striking event that happened after an outreach. On Saturday, our evangelists noticed a group of English-speaking people and decided to approach them. They struck up a conversation and shared the Gospel with them. Before parting ways, they invited one of the men to attend the church service the following day.
Then, on Sunday morning, the man walked through the church doors. He attended the service, and at the end, the pastor’s wife came to speak with him. During their conversation, something completely unexpected was discovered: they realized that this man was closely connected to their own family. He turned out to be the biological father of an adopted child.
The pastor’s sister is originally from Cameroon and works as a doctor in Guadeloupe. She is the one who adopted this child in Dominica. Today, the little boy lives with her in Belgium.
With around 400,000 inhabitants in Guadeloupe, this man ended up in front of the team following a simple street encounter. No one could have anticipated or orchestrated such a moment. It was a completely improbable human connection that goes beyond statistics—clearly orchestrated by the Holy Spirit.
The summary in numbers
Behind every testimony and every street encounter, there is a powerful spiritual reality that these numbers help us measure. In just 10 days, the obedience of the team and the collaboration with local Christians bore remarkable fruit:
🗣️ 1,304 people were directly reached with the message of the Gospel.
🙌🏼 Among them, 58 people made the radical decision to give their lives to Jesus.
❤️🩹 Also, 51 divine healings were manifested and 9 people were delivered.
🌊 3 water baptisms were celebrated.
🕊️ 19 believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit.
🙏🏼 Finally, 69 people were trained and equipped on site to continue the work of multiplication!
