IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO BE ON SITE AND TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH A UNIQUE EVENT.
What a first evening here in Kabinda, in the remote region of Kabinda, in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the ministry Christ for All Nations – CfaN. The logistical and technical teams had to overcome many challenges to make this campaign possible. On this first of six evenings, we realized why there were so many challenges. So many people had come! We heard from people who had come from far away and had been sleeping in the field for a month just to be part of the campaign. What a hunger! The place filled up more and more. I preached on Romans 10:13 and as I led the crowd in proclaiming this verse, the air vibrated with their cries. During the call, I felt the hands of most in the crowd go up. It was overwhelming to see them crying out to Jesus for their salvation. The density of the crowd up front was so thick that the counselors had difficulty moving. As I prayed for the sick, suddenly a cry went up through the crowd in front of them as they tested their bodies.

A bell of people formed around one person and they lifted a chair into the air. The crowd clapped with loud shouts. A youth was ushered forward and when they saw a girl running, the cheers got even louder! People came to watch and the crowd surged forward so much that the security teams had their hands full trying to calm the crowd at the front. The girl hadn’t been able to walk for three months. When we asked her what had happened, one person in the crowd shouted that he was a witness because he had carried her here to the square tonight. After the prayer she was able to walk!!! Hallelujah, it was wonderful to see the joy of the people.

Another man couldn’t hear with both ears for over ten years. When we tested his hearing on stage by whispering something from a short distance away, he responded to what we said with no problem!!!! Kabinda praised Jesus!!! We told the other testimonies to come tomorrow to share what God did because we had to call it off for safety reasons. I am so encouraged by this first strong night. The team said, “This is only the first night of six, wow, what more is God going to do!!!! It’s such an honor to be part of God’s work here in Kabinda!
